So Many Questions: A Message from Principal Neff
In these times of uncertainty and ever changing directions, I want to thank our Students, Parents and Staff for being resilient, patient and understanding. This semester has been the most unprecedented time we have probably seen in education in many decades. Our student leadership teams have worked tirelessly to organize socially distance events, but could not implement without approval from the Health Department. That also holds true for picture day and other events.
At the direction of the school board and the County Health Department, we err on the side of caution. Since we have recently entered the most restrictive phase again, schools may not open until we are in the red phase again for a minimum of two weeks. We will keep you updated on the countdown to return to school.
We are prepared to return to instruction in person; however, if we are not able to return on January 11th, new schedules will be emailed to students and parents. We will maintain the current block bell schedule (Mondays & Wednesdays 1, 3 & 5 - Tuesdays and Thursdays 2, 4, & 6 and Friday Advisory with asynchronous time until 2:10PM).
A separate email with the reopening plan, which will include several questions and answers about facilities, instruction time, arrival and departure (just to name a few) will be provided in the next week. We will also provide a page on our website for your reference. There has been a lot of thought and preparation that has gone into our planning. We want to ensure the most accurate message is provided when it is released.
Again, thank you for enduring this time with us. Together we are Eagle Strong.
Sincerely,
Mr. Neff
