Tamanend's Positive Behavior Support Plan
At Tamanend, we utilize a positive behavior support plan to encourage and reinforce good choices and responsible behavior. As part of the program, staff members submit "Tiger Tracks Tickets" that recognize students' achievement, commitment, kindness, and success. Each week we have a drawing and recognize one of nominated students who personifies positivity at Tamanend.
News from the Athletics Department
Fall Sports are underway with tryouts completed and practices starting. Games get into full swing next week with most Tamanend teams playing their first contests of the season. If students plan to stay after school on game days, they must be at the field and not walking around or leaving campus. If students are not where they are supposed to be, they will not be permitted to attend future games. Thank you for your cooperation.
From CB South: There will be an informational Boys Volleyball meeting on Monday, September 24th at 6:00pm in Room D204 at CB South. Any student 9th Grade student interested in playing should attend along with a parent.

Reminder--Tamanend Parent Book Club begins October 2
Join us for the Tamanend Parent Book Club. This year, we will be reading Raising Kids to Thrive (2015) by Kenneth R. Ginsburg, MD. The book describes "the Lighthouse Parenting Strategy" in which parents balance unconditional love and high expectations with the goal of raising resilient and happy children. This book club will follow a "no-pressure" format in which the facilitator will present a summary of the chapter and open the floor for discussion. We will share resources and ideas with the goal of helping the entire Tamanend parent community navigate the challenges of raising adolescents.
Meetings are held at 6:30 in the Tamanend Library
The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 2
