Superintendent's Update
January 27, 2023
To the CCPS Community:
Earlier this week we shared a video that addresses the work and the continued discussion on the review of books used in the classroom and available in the media centers. In case you have not yet viewed it, it is included below and I enourage you to take a few minutes to learn more about the work that has been done in this area.
As I mentioned in my last newsletter, this is the time of the year when we are preparing the budget for next school year. This Wednesday we held the public work session with the Board of Education (click here to view the presentation) and next month we will hold the public budget hearing (February 22). More details of this meeting and other important dates are included below under "Calendar Reminders" and will be publicized on our website and social media channels.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey A. Lawson, Ed.D.
