First Grade Learning Plan for the week of 4/27
We will post the next week's Learning Plan each Friday by 5 p.m on the First Grade Digital Learning website.
New Learning Plan Overview Video
This video will walk you through each subject of the Learning Plan without you having to read all of the learning plan.
Be sure to check it out.
Seesaw Activities from Specials
The Specials Team will share 2 lessons each week - Performing Arts & Library this week, Art & PE next week. These lessons, tied to skills your child has been working on in those classes, can also provide a movement/brain break and creative opportunities for your child without the Seesaw activities/assignments becoming overwhelming.
If you have any questions or concerns about their assignments, please feel free to reach out to them.Performing Arts: ChrisM.Simpson@leanderisd.org
Library: Janet.Algase@leanderisd.org
Tips for navigating the learning plan
Supporting Information and Resources: These are resources for students and information for parents to help teach the learning target.
Evidence (Reading and Writing): These are activities that allow students to practice, then show their understanding of the learning target. (Seesaw Activities found here)
Practice Resources and Evidence (Math): These are activities that allow students to practice, then show their understanding of the learning target. (Seesaw Activities found here)
Learning Experiences (Science): These are activities that allow students to practice, then show their understanding of the learning target. (Seesaw Activities found here)
Extended Learning (Reading, Writing, and Math): Extra resources if your child has completed the Seesaw activities and they still want to keep learning.
Extra Ideas to show my learning (Science): Extra resources if your child has completed the Seesaw activities and they still want to keep learning.
For best results:
- Have your child start in the left column and work across the columns to the right.
- Seesaw Activities (highlighted in green) are due the following Sunday at 6 p.m.
- LISD recommends students spend 4-6 hours per week, or about one hour a day, on their learning.
- If your child is a fast worker/finisher, please have them explore the resources in the Extended Learning/Extra ideas column.
- While your child may need some support and guidance with directions, the activities are planned in a way to allow students to complete them independently. We encourage you to use this time to allow your student to experiment independently with typing and other technology skills Seesaw could teach your student! Your child may surprise you! :)
