High Levels of Learning for All!

What's Happening the Week of April 27th

I am soo proud of how hard all the students worked during MAP testing. I know this can be a stressful time. I could give you my opinion of how I don't feel this test is a true measure of all your child is capable of, and what their talents truly are. However, I do appreciate all your hard work making sure your child was at school so they could "show what they know".

We have a lot happening in the next few weeks. This Wednesday is 4th grade Field Day at the high school. We will leave at 8:30 sharp and return at 10:45 am. Please make sure your child wears appropriate clothing and shoes. If you would like to send sunscreen, please do so. Also a water bottle is highly recommended.

On Thursday night, 4th grade students will be showcasing their talents during the 4th Grade Music performance. The students need to be at school by 5:45 for their performance at 6 pm. Please have them report to our classroom.

What We're Learning

Reading: We are researching our Famous Missourians. The students have chosen an individual to research, dress up as, and create a presentation to be displayed during our living museum. More details will follow.

Writing: We are learning about tall tales and will begin creating our own. We will including all we have learned about figurative language and dialogue in this writing piece.

Math: We are creating Lego constructions and finding the volume. This will start with video lessons 11.5
