Library Update
We are going strong!!
Scholastic Book Fair ended last Thursday
We always love seeing everyone who visits the library during our Scholastic book fairs. It was very sad when we learned we would not be able to host our in-person fall fair, however we are thankful for the online opportunity. Thank you to each person who helped support our school by shopping our very first on-line book fair. I hope it was a good experience and that students and families have lots of great new reading material to last the weeks to come.
This Reader is All into a great book!
"New Kid" by Jerry Craft, from last year's Battle is still popular.
Who wouldn't want to spend a little "real" reading time on the floor?
The library is still getting books out to TC Students
This is what a librarian wants to see- students "all into" their books. Whether students are getting books during their bi-weekly classroom library visit or via their "library-fairy" (from holds placed through Destiny Discover), they are reading!! Just 20 minutes a day can help students score in the 90 percentile range. These students are doing great.
The Battle of the Books is going strong.
On October 28, we met in the library for lunch where we enjoyed great discussions about our books, gave away some golden, vending machine coins and and began giving out the next round of books. Anyone who did not receive their book last Wednesday, will receive it as soon as the book is removed from quarantine.
Please mark calendars with a couple of slight changes. Our next two meeting dates have been changed to Tuesday, November 10th and Tuesday, December 1st. Happy Reading!!!
