Once your child returns in January, the school year will be about half over. This is a great time to review the first part of the year and make plans for the next.

Looking at your child’s school attendance should be part of this important process. Did your child attend school every day unless she was sick or there was a family emergency? If so, congratulations!

Let them know you’re proud of their strong attendance. Help them keep up the good work for the rest of the year and beyond. Strong attendance is one predictor of success in school. We are encouraging attendance through PBIS and other rewards!

 Remind your child that regular school attendance is a priority.

 Emphasize the need for rest, nutrition and exercise to stay healthy and stay in school.

 Consider the reasons you take your child out of school. Can you make some appointments outside school hours?

So far we have raised over $3000 for the Art department with Square One art sales!

We can't believe that we are wrapping up our 2nd quarter of the year! This quarter's ROAR party will be on 12/15, and it will be planned by the teachers. Please keep an eye out for any communications from the teachers requesting supplies, etc. Students will need to have earned 175 points in PBIS Rewards and have no major referrals for the 2nd quarter in order to attend the party.

We have also started a new attendance challenge to see which grade level can reach the top of the tree by 12/19. Congratulations to 1st and 5th grades for winning our November football attendance challenge! Thank you all so much for your continued support of our PBIS program here at Sharon Elementary!

SES PTO is excited about celebrating the holiday season as SES.

The new and remodeled Santa Shop will be open from December 5th - 9th for your child to shop for holiday gifts between $1.00-8.00 during their scheduled class time. A Santa Shop order form will be coming home in Thursday folders.

Philanthropy Fresh Spirit Night is Wednesday, December 14th from 4pm-8pm. Mention SES and Philanthropy Fresh will donate 10% of sales to the SES Archery Team.

Winter Break Bingo is a fun way to spend our free time with your family over the holiday break. Complete activities, mark them off, and make Bingos. Turn in your Bingo cards by Jan 6th to be entered in the drawing for a prize.
