A Message From Miss Thomas

Hello Husky Choir Family!


I apologize that I haven't created a newsletter in a while. We have been hard-at-work in the choir room preparing our Winter music for our concert on December 7th. There are many wonderful accomplishments that we need to celebrate. The Hughes Husky Choir had EIGHT students make an All-Region Choir. They will perform with the All-Region Choirs this Saturday. Ignite had two stellar performances at the pep rallies this week. There is so much more! 'Tis The Season- Husky Choir Winter Concert (ALL CHOIRS)

Tuesday, Dec. 7th, 7pm

100 Elk Drive

Burleson, TX

Our Hughes Husky Choirs will be back in the Burleson High School Auditorium for their Winter Concert performance on December 7th. This will run very similarly to the Fall Concert. It is required of all choir students, so make sure you mark your calendars!

More specific detailed information will be released closer to the concert date! See you there!

Moo Money Text Fundraiser Starting Soon (ALL CHOIRS)

Parents,

We need your help! Husky Choir is teaming up with Cash Cow Fundraising to raise money to help cover our Spring Trip and Spring Contest costs including:

  • entry fees
  • buses
  • music
  • guest judges
  • accompanists.
This is a text-based fundraiser and all you need to do is provide cell phone numbers from your child's biggest supporters. Texts come directly from your student's phone and the numbers are not collected or stored; your friends and family will not be bombarded with texts and emails. It's one text and one call directly from your student. That's it!


In an effort to not over-fundraise from our community, this will be the ONLY fundraiser the Husky Choir will hold this school year. So please read through the following document and help support our amazing Husky Choir students!

Husky Choir Hoodie Order (ALL CHOIRS)

As the temperature starts to drop, I know students will be wearing more jackets and coats. Be on the look out for more information about the Hughes Husky Choir Hoodies!


Hoodies will be grey with the Husky Choir logo in black on the front. I'm estimating the price will be around $25-$27.


Show your Husky Choir pride while staying warm this winter!

Husky Choir Holiday Party (ALL CHOIRS)

Tuesday, Dec. 14th, 3:45-5:30pm

Hughes Middle School Choir Room

Husky Choir students are invited to the Husky Choir Holiday Party hosted by Choir Council.

Students will meet in the choir room after school for snacks, a gift exchange, games, singing, and socializing!


Students should bring:


  • a unisex wrapped gift (max $5 cost) (optional)
  • Snack or drink to share (more specific info coming soon)


Students who attend must stay in the choir room; they are not allowed to wander the building. Students are allowed to be picked up early if necessary but absolutely must be picked up by 5:30pm

Husky Choir Family Tree (ALL CHOIRS)

Our Choir Council will be decorating the Choir room for the month of December including a Christmas tree in the corner of the room.

Our Husky Choir students are invited to bring an ornament from home to hang on our Husky Choir Family Tree.

  • Students will get to take the ornament home before Winter break
  • Please don't send one that you wouldn't be okay if it broke. Send the cheap one that you don't care too much about just in case.
  • Home-made ones are great too!
