New and Notes
Many thanks for another great week of school. We have welcomed Fall and fell into routines of cool mornings and muggy afternoons!
I have had many celebrations this week. First, big thanks to Tammy and Lauren for their work with College Go Week. They hit the double home run this week with also leading ALICE training and LIfeskills Convocations. Great work ladies!!
This upcoming week will give us a very busy Wednesday. For folks new to our campus, Jog A Thon will take place in the bus lote and will make for a rather busy campus. We will follow the schedule posted below. Please help to encourage families in ways they can observe and assist to voluteer with our PTO but we also make them aware not to run with the students.
I have attached a couple of nice resources that is worth your time to click and check out. One is more in depth knowledge for Genius Hour. For our pioneering folks heading down this path, keep pressing on and let me know any hurdles and challenges! The second article is really strong for providing insights into email communication with families. It also includes some nice model with strategies to help build trust and bridge relationships. There is an art to this and some proven strategies that can help to deliver messages and bind common ground together.
We are in absence of our weekly series contribution, "Data With Dana". She will be sending out the edition later this week. With her upcoming maternity leave, her weekly contribution will continue with the parternship of Carolyn Moore. So, in coming days look for "Moore Data With Dana". I will ask Carolyn to share some of her personal experiences that many may be unaware and can benefit folks in multiple ways and thus allowing her personal spin and voice to benefit others.
