Letter from Mr. Nelson

Smallville-

Tis’ the season. It tis’.

Tis’ the season when we have final exams or projects to show what we’ve learned this first semester. Tis’ a benchmark of sorts for our year-long classes and the culmination of our ½ semester courses. Tis’ the time we might even celebrate what we’ve been through and reflect on how far we’ve come. Tis’ also the time when we’re all a little kinder to one another and more grateful for all we have. Tis’ a reason this season tis’ the most wonderful time of the year. Tis’ indeed.

Tis’ the time when we bestow gifts or accolades upon those around us and when we celebrate one another. Tis’ a month or more out of the year but tis’ no reason tis’ not something we do 12 months out of the year. Tis’ a beautiful thing to be festive and jolly and thankful year-round. Tis’ what we aspire for from our students and staff and why we work so hard to bring joy this season and beyond to everyone who steps foot on campus.

Don’t believe us? Tis’ in our mission statement plastered throughout the annals of AISD and beyond: To nurture growth by empowering all students through unique, enriched, and joyful learning opportunities.

Tis’ the joyful learning opportunities we cherish the most, and tis’ the reason we all come together this and all times of the year to celebrate one another.

Tis’ the season, indeed.

Student Council - Can Food Drive

Many families struggle to have enough food on the table this time of year, so the CSMS Student Council is organizing their annual canned food drive. Each can donated will support someone in need of a meal. From December 12th-16th, bring your donated cans to PRIDE. Student Council will make the campus rounds on Friday to collect it all so Ms. Teel can get our donations to the Central Texas Food Bank in time for the holidays. The PRIDE class that donates the most will win a pizza party. Each can donated will put a smile on your face and nutrition in our community’s belly. ’Tis the season for caring and sharing.

Wacky Winter

It is that time of year where we like to dress up! Encourage your students to join Mr. Nelson and our Student Council in dressing for the theme of each day in December.

Teachers who participate can enter to win prizes. Here are today's announcements where we pulled the winner from yesterday's wear red. Stay until after the credits where one of the teachers ran down to give us something very much needed...
