Screencasting - RM 427

Description: Shake It Up! The video and audio components of a screencast can make a topic more engaging than written instructions or static images, while also appealing to different learning styles. This approach allows the teacher additional time to assist struggling students with individualized instruction while providing more advanced students an opportunity to explore extended activities. Come see how easy it is to take your curriculum and “Mix It Up!” (Please bring your iPad)

Google Classroom - RM 503

Description: Come explore the many uses of the teacher-friendly Google Classroom. Set up a class and also see what the platform looks like from the student view. Monitor student progress and work completion on your iPad by accessing your Google Classroom through your drive. Bring your questions and your ideas! We will collaborate about best practices for CTE classes.

Description: Maximize the use of the Smartboard: The Smartboard can facilitate multisensory learning keeping students engaged. Discover some simple features of the Smartboard and how it can be used in collaborative problem solving as well as recording lessons.

Description: Learn how to create student centered learning environment with Birdville's Google Apps for Education. Participants will experience student voice and choice as they create products in a collaborative environment. This class is designed for all level users.

Multimedia Projects with Video - RM 427

Description: Join us as we use iMovie, Flipagram, Adobe Slate/Post, and Perfect Video to create multimedia projects for use in the CTE classroom. Bring your iPad with some previously recorded video, so that you will be able to jump right into a project. You will walk away with resources to support your use of these video tools and resources for using them with students.
