HOLY ROSARY NEWSLETTER
Term 3 Week 3 - 3 August
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As many of our children preparing to make their First Eucharist, I felt this message from the Ionians would proclaim to some.
St Dominic’s Day has been just fantastic! A great way to celebrate the anniversary of the founder of the religious tradition with which we are entwined. Sincere thanks to everyone who was involved in the preparations. Because of the weather we are re-scheduling Tabloid sports. They are too much fun to cancel altogether!
Next weekend sees the parish visitation from Bishop Don Sproxton. Many of you will remember him as he conferred the sacrament of Confirmation on our Year Six students this year. He visits the school on Friday, and is in the parish over the weekend, attending all masses. It would be nice if a number of families are able to say hello at mass.
Have a great weekend

SIENA CENTRE UPDATE
We welcome Liz Laverock from Year Five who is taking over co-ordination of the Siena Centre following Deb Tanham’s departure. Liz is genuinely excited at this opportunity. She once worked in the Siena Centre and is delighted to be returning.
Thanks to everyone who has had their children in complete and correct uniform. It makes an important statement about our school and our standards.
However some children are not wearing the correct uniform; coloured sneakers or netball jackets for example. For your information the Holy Rosary Uniform Policy is attached below and we ask that in order to eliminate any confusion and to keep standards high that you please follow the policy.
We do have processes whereby teachers can send you a letter notifying you of any uniform expectations not being met. I would be grateful however if they could focus on the teaching and learning and not on uniform compliance.

Last year we had two discos, but this year there is only one. Why is that?
The decision to run just the one disco for this year is based on a shortage of parents and guardians to run two events. That may change next year depending on interest. Please note that the decision to run one disco won’t affect the annual donation from the HRC to the Year Six Graduation for running the music at the disco!

The Family Businesses of Holy Rosary
As a Parent Community we would love to see a culture of thinking Holy Rosary first! Please have a look through the directory to see what these businesses might be able to do for you. If you would like to be listed please contact Mark Nolan at firstname.lastname@example.org
Without these businesses we would not have our amazing website, event coverage, photos, videos, graphic design, Business Directory.
Look them up. Enjoy their talents and think of them around your friends and family.
A big thank you for you contributions from all of us at Holy Rosary.
