Next Steps with iD Tech
#BestJobEver
Congrats! We think you're pretty great.
Who Is My Manager?!
Pre-iD she was a High School Math teacher. #TeachMeHowToFactor!
Libbie wants you to fall in love with iD Tech the way she did at 14 years old so she is here to help you have fun, grow, and make this the #bestsummerever. Also, she LOVES to dress up! It is common to find her walking around camp in a tutu. So get ready for a summer of craziness!

Let's Review the Job!
Availability
- Since this is a full time, temporary position where we rely on each staff member's presence in order to run our programs.
- Any schedule conflicts must be addressed during the offer process, after which no time off requests will be accepted.
If for any reason you can’t accept the position or anything changes, I expect to be notified immediately.
Assigned Location & Courses
I will be working on the puzzle of staff schedules in April and May
Your location and courses will be determined based on your qualifications and the staffing needs.
Four weeks before your location starts you will receive access to your schedule,
Found in your Job Account idtech.com/jobaccount
You’ll receive an email notification if I make any updates to your schedule.
Work Hours
All staff will be scheduled for work hours and breaks based on their roles and responsibilities. You can expect to work longer hours during the first and last weeks of camp as we set up and break down.
A sample daily schedule will be available in the Staff Corner.
Commuting staff: the typical work week is between 45 to 50 hours, including your break times.
Overnight staff: the typical work week is between 60 to 70 hours per week. You will be scheduled for 2-3 nights off during your workweek.
Weekend Housing and Working Weekends (If Applicable)
You may elect to stay on Friday and Saturday nights for a $80 charge, every weekend regardless of whether or not you stay or just leave your belongings in the room. This cost does not include meals.
Staff who have opted to work weekends at available weekend sites will receive free room and board and additional pay.
- You may be required to attend lab setup and/or an orientation days before camp begins. You’ll be compensated for any days worked. Management staff is required to attend the lab setup and computer delivery.
If you are scheduled to work the week that a camp ends, expect your Final Friday to run as late as 9 PM in order to ensure that our entire site is packed up and clean. Please do not ask to leave early on the last day. There are NO overnight stays on Friday of the last day of camp. You will need to make your own accommodations if needed.
Pay
- Pay is non-negotiable. Payday is every Friday, starting in the beginning of June and running through the end of August.
- A sample schedule will be available on Staff Corner.
- We don't provide transportation or parking permits.
Resources Available in Early Spring
Staff Corner -- our online hub for everything you need to have a successful summer - fun videos, forums, policies, procedures and online trainings on how we operate.

I'm Ready! Put Me in, Coach!
Regional Staff Training
Training is mandatory for all new staff members. You will be asked to attend an online training prior to the start of work and you will be paid for the time spent training. Details will be coming in April.
Some Paperwork Would Sweeten the Deal...
Paperwork
- Once you review and accept your official offer letter, you'll have 5 days to complete your Required Employee Paperwork.
- Our People Services department will be conducting a criminal background check as well as calling your references. Favorable passing of both background and reference checks is required for your offer to remain valid.
- Depending on the location you are assigned to work, you may be required to complete additional forms, background checks or obtain additional certifications per state requirements.
Have you lived outside of the US in the Past 7 Years?
Studied abroad in the UK? Had a cool job teaching in Thailand? Please let me know if you've lived outside of the United States in the past 7 years so our People Services Team can ensure the appropriate background checks are completed.
Will you need a work visa in order to work with us this summer?
Staff that are not US citizens or Green Card holders typically require a specific work authorization document in order to work with us, this includes those that are in the US on an F-1 student visa. We want to be proactive to ensure the proper work authorizations are in place before your first day of work, so that there are no showstoppers when it comes time to attend Regional Staff Training and work at camp. Does this apply to you?
CPR & First Aid Required for ALL staff
You won't be scheduled without it! All staff must obtain Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED certification by May 15th. Please email me your course receipt in the next 3 weeks, so I can ensure that you're taking the correct course.
Select from one of the approved courses:
American Red Cross “Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED” Course. We will accept American Red Cross's online course with an in-person skills test.
American Heart Association “Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED” Course.
If you are unable to take one of the above courses, please let me know; I may be able to suggest alternatives in your region.

Refer-A-Friend
While you'll make new friends this summer, why not work with the ones you already have? All they need to do is list your name on their application when asked "How did you hear about us?" It's that easy and you’ll be rewarded!
