Pathfinder Book Fair / October 27th - November 4th
We will be hosting an in-person Scholastic Book Fair in the library this year! Students will have the opportunity to purchase items from the Book Fair during their regularly scheduled library classes! They can pay using cash or e-wallet (this is a way for students to pay electronically - details regarding e-wallets are included in the flyer). If your student goes to specials with another class, please plan for them to make any purchases on the day that class comes to the library. Below is a flyer with all the details about our Book Fair:

October Leadership Social
We were also joined by KCMO Firefighter Dan Becker. Dan has two students at Pathfinder and he brought along his crew and ladder truck! The students learned about fire safety and checked out a lot of the equipment used for their job.

Calling All Veterans
We are looking for Veterans...on November 11th at 10:00, guests will be escorted to their child's classroom where they will have the opportunity to field questions related to their service and, if comfortable, read a short book aloud to the class (the classroom teacher may read the story if you prefer). Following this time in the classroom, all Veterans and their Pathfinder child/child(ren) are invited to a cookie reception in our main hallway area.
If the Veteran in your family is able to join us in our celebration described above, please email Amy Wazac at wazaca@platteco.k12.mo.us. We are also requesting a picture of your Veteran either in uniform or with his/her Pathfinder child(ren) that we can share with all students. Please email with plans to attend and comfort level reading as well as with a picture by Thursday, November 4th.

Fall Parent Survey / Please Complete By December 3rd
The Platte County School District is conducting its annual parent survey to gather feedback on strengths of the district, as well as areas to consider for growth. Your input is important and will be considered when making future decisions.
If you have not already completed the survey during Parent/Teacher conferences, we ask that you complete the survey by clicking on the link below. If you have more than one student, please be sure to answer those questions for each building. The survey should take approximately fifteen minutes to complete. Thank you in advance for your feedback!
**NEW THIS YEAR: For the comment portion of our stakeholder surveys, we are using a new tool called Thought Exchange. Participants share thoughts, then rate thoughts shared by others to create themes and help the District prioritize next steps.

Pick Up
- Please do not come up the side driveway between Pathfinder and Barry School. Our drop off and pick up map can be found below.
- Do not get out of your car during the dismissal process, and please pull forward if you need to help buckle in your child.

COVID-19 Quarantine Guidance and Data
Please see the attached quarantine guidance for students or staff members who are identified as a close contact to a person with COVID-19. The graphic outlines the requirements if all parties are appropriately masked, as well as if they are not. These quarantine procedures are in alignment with directives from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Platte County Health Department (PCHD).
We will post numbers of reported COVID-19 cases and close contacts in our District on our website, displaying data from the previous seven days, as well as 7-day rolling average information. These cases will include staff and students, and will only include those reported to the District.
This information will be available on our District website here starting Tuesday, September 7.
