Digging "IN"to Learning!
iReady! A great way for us to know our student's learning needs
Here is a very helpful page if you are interested in learning more about iReady.
Now that we have finished the fall diagnostic, we will be sending home your child's iReady Diagnostic reports when the assessment window is closed. These results will also be uploaded into the Home Access Center (HAC).
Coat, Hat, Gloves, Oh My!
Hello Anderson Families,
The weather is changing quickly and I want to remind you that we will be going outside as much as possible this year for PE. I need you to send your student with a coat, hat and gloves. Being outside gives us an opportunity to take our masks off and the ability to learn, move and play in a more meaningful way. Thank you
Erin's Law Presentations Coming Soon
I wanted to inform you about Erin’s Law, an Illinois law that requires public schools to provide a prevention-oriented child sexual abuse program in grades PreK-12. Named after sexual abuse survivor Erin Merryn, Erin’s Law will be implemented again this year in all District 303 Schools utilizing the Child Protection Unit of the Second Step resource.
Starting next week, several lessons will be facilitated by our school social worker, school psychologist, and the classroom teacher. The lessons will address identifying safe and unsafe touch, private body part rules, and learning ways to stay safe.
For more information about Erin’s Law, you can access a short video at the link below.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thank you,
Mr. Jarot
HEALTH OFFICE REMINDERS
A few reminders from the health office. If you have one child who has any symptoms that could be related to COVID (fever of 100.4 or higher, headache, shortness of breath, cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, congestion, runny nose, new loss of sense of taste or smell, nausea, fatigue, muscle or body aches) keep all of the rest of the siblings home, even if they are well until a clearance note is provided to return to school (see chart). If you pick up one child up from school with any symptoms related to COVID, you must pick up their siblings also. If you work in the district and you or your child goes home sick with these symptoms, all family members in D303 must go home. Your school nurses can help you in determining your options for the symptomatic child and the siblings to return to school. Please certify your child every morning.
