E-Track

Our next e-track begins on Wednesday, January 16. I have sent everyone a link to complete a slide for your course offering. These will be due by December 19. The students will sign up for their selections the week we return from the break. If you will need materials for your course, please let me know by emailing me (and copying Sally). Please include the list of materials and the cost. Do not purchase anything before getting approval. We will decide if it is more efficient for you to purchase the items on your own, or if we need to purchase the items. Our students had so many great choices last time. Thank you for your time and effort to make this a special time for them.

Vertical Team GT Showcase

This year, all of our students in the GT program will have the opportunity to participate in a vertical team showcase. This will be held on February 4 at Cy-Woods High School. A flyer will be going home soon. We are excited to be able to include all of our GT students in this showcase with all of the feeder schools of Cy-Woods (Robison, Farney, Sampson, Woodard, Spillane, and Goodson).

Reminders for This Week

MONDAY: Breakfast will be served at 7:45 am. Entertainment provided by the choir. Join us in the cafeteria for a festive morning!

TUESDAY: PTO is hosting their annual Treat Give Away. Stop by the workroom to draw your number and receive a treat!

WEDNESDAY: Gingerbread Man Hunt (1 per person). Catch one and turn it in for a prize!

THURSDAY: Help support our scholarship fund for a graduating senior by bringing $1 and wearing your PJ's ("I'm Dreaming of a Bright Future"). Jeans pass for everyone who contributes. We'll also enjoy our ice cream sandwich bar in the lounge during lunches.

FRIDAY: Party Day!! Parent will check in and wait in the cafeteria until they are released. If they are taking their student home afterwards, they will walk back to their child's classroom and sign them out on the sign-out sheet provided. Teachers may only give out transportation cards if they are signed out. Students will then exit through the front door or door by parking lot where staff will be stationed to collect their cards.

Get "Appy"

I want to share 3 apps with you that you can use to make your posts look polished and professional. They are FREE and super EASY to use!

Canva

Canva is an app to simplify graphic design. Now you can create anything—from posters, wallpapers, to book covers and all kinds of graphic designs—in seconds flat, with one single tool. Adding in design elements in Canva is easy.

**This is what I used for the 12 days of Christmas. You can create designs on your phone or on a computer.

Legend

Legend is an app that lets you put your words into motion. See the $1 pajama day post below.

Quik

With the Quik app, you can create awesome videos with just a few taps. Choose your favorite photos and video clips then let Quik work its magic. In seconds, it finds great moments, adds beautiful transitions and effects, and syncs everything to the beat of the music. See the video below of special highlights from last week at Robison.

Be sure to ask for a ticket when you have either hosted or visited a classroom to observe. There are so many great things happening in our classrooms!
