News for February 2, 2015

Congratulations Grant Elementary PTA!

Congratulations to Grant DAD Dan Jenkins, the winner of the first Annual Livonia PTSA Council Dad's Chili Cook Off! Dan won a Dad's prize package and a $500 Library prize for the Grant Elementary Library, courtesy of the Livonia Kiwanis Early - Risers group.

We had 100 chili tasters on hand to sample chili entered by 16 different DADS, GRANDPAS and a STUDENT, representing 10 different PTAs in the district. There was a bake sale, live music, thanks to Perrinville PTA DAD Robert Johnson.

We couldn't have asked for a better event, and would like to thank all of our Chili cooks for entering, the Livonia Kiwanis Early - Risers group for sponsoring the Library Prize, our Chili Judges: Fox 2 News Weatherman Derek Kevra, Patriot Inn Chef Instructor Andy Lehmann, and Kiwanis President Terry Howery. We certainly wouldn't have had this event without Chair Robb Drzewicki. Thanks to each of you for making this such a fun, successful event!
