I also wanted to let families know that our next field trip will be on Wednesday June 4th to the Wildlife sanctuary. We will be touring the zoo in the morning and having a presentation on the painted lady butterfly and its life cycle in the afternoon. Parents are welcome to join us for the morning to walk around and see the animals and also have lunch. In the afternoon the program will take about an hour and a half. You are welcome to stay for that as well. We do ask that you do not bring a younger sibling with you for this trip. I wanted to let you know in advance in case you needed to ask for a day off of work or so you could keep that day clear on your schedule.

I hope you can join us!

Caterpillars!

We are patiently waiting for our caterpillars to arrive. They were supposed to be here this week and they did not show up. Needless to say the kids were disappointed as was I. We are hoping they arrive early next week. When they arrive we will be doing a study on the life cycle of the painted lady butterfly and also reading about other plant and animal life cycles.

Try to stop in and see them if you are able to!!

Last Quarter of School!

This school year has flown by and I can't believe we are beginning our last quarter of the year. We still have a lot of learning to take place yet in the last 9 weeks. Please encourage your child to continue to stay focused, put forth great effort and keep doing their homework each night. It is so important that they are reading each night, reviewing math skills and practicing their weekly focus words.

Let's have the best fourth quarter possible!

As always if you have any questions or concerns please contact me right away.

Happy spring,
