FUTURES
FUTURES is coming!
Registration will open for everyone else on Tuesday, March 14!
Please be sure you have access to your Student Portal so that you're ready to go on registration day!
Transportation
Traversa is up and running! A reminder that Traversa is the bus routing software that the district utilizes.
As a parent of a bus rider you have access to the Ride 360 app:
Traversa allows the Transportation office to view buses moving through the district by GPS, the scan card reader allows the district to know where children got on and when and where they got off. Currently, kindergarten and some first graders are trialing these cards with more expected in the next few weeks. A reminder that cards need to be on every morning and afternoon with the district supplied safety lanyard.
Note to parents - the message function only sends messages to the transportation office, not the driver. Drivers are not allowed to use cell phones during bus routes. Messages sent may not be responded to if the dispatcher is busy with other duties.
Parents, would you like to have more than one user:
Option 1 Parent/guardian can “share” the record with another parent/guardian. Originator parent/guardian logs in and clicks share. Choose the record and enter the parent/guardian email address that they would like to share access with. The added parent/guardian will be able to see it and all notifications, but will not be able to share the record.
Option 2 Ask the Transportation office to add the other parent/guardian user name to the student record in the My Ride tab.
A reminder that drivers cannot add non-registered students to their routes, or make changes to routes, or confirm any transportation information to parents. The transportation office is the only approved provider of transportation information: transportation@waylandunion.org
The final item needed to have Traversa fully functioning is the connection between Infinite Campus (your parent portal) and Traversa. This connection is what the district uses to send messages to parents of bus 3 (example) and not the district as a whole. WUS' tech team is working on this task.
Software conversions are never without issue and we are thankful for your support of our WUS team.
