Does Your Child Have High Blood Pressure?
Did you know that one in 25 youth ages 12 to 19 has hypertension, and one in 10 has elevated blood pressure (previously called “prehypertension”)? That’s according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). What can parents do? Talk to your child’s doctor. The CDC recommends asking your child’s doctor to measure your child’s blood pressure starting at age three. See more tips.
