· What is it?
o Holi is a cultural celebration of Spring in India. It is celebrated by throwing colored powder at others (like the Color Run!). We are celebrating Holi at UT by having each student organization have a specific color they can throw at the crowd! Each student organization will also have a booth/ display to tell others on campus more about their own organization.
- Why should I participate?
o First of all: it’s going to be TONS of fun. There will be color. A lot of it. And you get to throw it on everybody! Also we will have cash prizes for
1. The organization with most members involved
2. The Best Decorated Booth
3. The most informative booth. Participants will get free shirts!
o Participating will also give your organization great exposure!
o Only religious and cultural student orgs are invited, since we’re celebrating religious and cultural diversity (Holi is a cultural holiday with religious roots).
- So how do I get my organization signed up?
o Come to our MANDATORY MEETINGS:
§ Monday, February 23rd from 4-5:00 pm
§ Monday, March 23rd from 4-5:00 pm
§ Both are at Phoenicia Cuisine, 3rd Floor of Student Union
o We will fill you in on all the details and you can come with any questions you may have!
