Pink Shirt Day
Every day is kindness day.
New ways to share their learning
Grade 2 students used Flipgrid to create a video to present their boat design.
Miss Foster takes great care to make sure attendance is accurate and complete. As late students arrive, she change their attendance in our system and gives the students a slip to give to their teacher to communicate that the change has been made.
New ways to share their learning
We are so lucky to have Mr. Vick as part of our school team. The students always show him how much they appreciate him.
We celebrated 100 days of the 2020-2021 school year!
Grade 6 election
Learning about democracy and the levels of government are part of the grade 6 Social Studies curriculum. Students participated in a classroom election.
Grade 4 students have been creating a presentation based on their own interests.
Various games are played to reinforce literacy skills. The Snakes and Ladder game is to reinforce learning high frequency words.
Building and Testing
Grade 2 students designed and built various boats. As they tested them, they made modifications to improve the design.

Parent/Guardian Engagement Session
Next steps....how can we emerge stronger?
This engagement session will involve 3 discussions. We want to provide these to you prior to the session, so you can start to reflect and possibly bring some ideas to the session.
Participants will be broken up into smaller groups for discussion prior to submitting answers.
Discussion #1: Positives we can leverage
a) What might be some positives in the area of instruction, assessment and learning?
b) What might be some positive impacts technology has had on learning?
c) What might be some positive impacts on how schools have had to operate? Any structures or processes that have been put in place that we should keep?
Discussion #2: What do we miss being able to do?
a) In general, what are some things about "school life" that you miss or that your child(ren) miss?
b) Are there any instructional practices that teachers have not been able to use because of the pandemic that you feel are important to bring back as soon as possible? And why?
Discussion #3: What do we need to be mindful of next year?
a) As we think about the opportunity of blending the new skills students and teachers have developed with some of the practices, we haven't been able to utilize, what do we need to be mindful of if, and when, we return to a greater level of normalcy?
b) In general, what are some of the things we need to be mindful of for next year?
ZOOM link will be sent out to all families.
Lost and Found
Please go through each link to see if there is any of your child's missing clothing is currently in the Lost and Found Box. If you see any item of clothing that belongs to your child write down the number that is beside or on the clothing and contact Miss Foster. You can call her at 403-529-2960 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org Once she hears from you, the clothing will be brought to your child's class for them to bring home.
Please remind your children to cross at crosswalks and to walk across the street after they are certain the vehicle has stopped for them.
We need to work together to ensure our students are safe. Thank you for your cooperation.
