Thank you for participating in Highland's Math and Science Night! Lava Lamps were made, Bingo was won, 3D shapes were built, Parent vs Student Jeopardy was played, and much more! We look forward to our next event.
Our mission is to "Educate every child every day; whatever it takes," and our vision is "Excellence for every student and staff member!" This is our promise to you and your scholar.

5th Grade Science STAAR TEST THIS TUESDAY MAY 2nd!
TEST DAY TIPS TO HELP YOUR SCHOLOR
- Scholars should leave their backpacks at home
- Scholars must have a charged Chromebook
- Scholars should arrive by 7:45am to eat breakfast
- Encourage your scholar and create a positive morning

ALL CHROMEBOOK and LIBRARY FEES MUST BE PAID BY MAY 15th- STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN END OF YEAR ACTIVITIES WITH FEES. THIS INCLUDES FIELD DAY AND ALL AWARD CEREMONIES
Chromebooks Are Needed Daily
Make sure your scholars Chromebook fees are paid. We have limited loaner devices.
ALL LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE. PLEASE RETURN ALL BOOKS TO THE LIBRARY.

What does it mean to volunteer at Highlands?
- Volunteers are approved and have completed the VOLY form
- Volunteers are not to video or photograph scholars or teachers
- Volunteers are monitoring and supervising ALL Highlands scholars not just your own scholar
- Volunteers have a task or role in the event and must be able to complete all duties assigned
- Volunteers can not have non Highland's children to monitor during their volunteer time(s)
WE NEED LUNCH, ARRIVAL, & DISMISSAL VOLUNTEERS
- M-F 7:35-8:05- Outside Arrival Support (Ensuring Student Safety, Greeting Scholars with Smiles, Opening Doors, and Directing Traffic)
- M-F 10:20-1:35 Lunch Duty ( Ensuring Student Safety, Maintaining Cafeteria Expectations, Helping with lunch needs)
- M-F 3:30-4:05- Outside Dismissal Support (Ensuring Student Safety, Dismissing Scholars with Smiles, Opening Doors, and Directing Traffic)
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to volunteer time to check in at the front office.
All volunteers must check-in at the front office and may not enter any other door. All volunteers must be approved in VOLY. Click below to complete volunteer application.
Lunch at Highlands- Friday ONLY
Thank you in advance for your attention to these success guidelines:
- No filming or photos of students or staff
- Children who are not enrolled at Highlands must be accompanied at all times
- One parent/guardian per scholar at each visit
- Please utilize the designated parent tables in the cafeteria to enjoy lunch with your scholar
- Only provide outside food to your scholar
