Future Scheduling Course Selection Information Below & Course Fair on January 19th
The counselors will begin the process of meeting with your student to discuss course selection for next year. Grade level meetings will be next week during Advisory (January 10th, 11th, 12th) to discuss general course selection information. After these presentations the counselors will meet individually with your student to pick their classes for the 2023-2024 school year. Counselors will be meeting with students between January 12th to February 14th. If your student is absent the day of the assigned meeting their counselor will make sure to meet with them at a new time as soon as they can.
Our students will be utilizing the SchooLinks platform to input their courses. Parents can have access to view what their student has chosen and can create an account as well. Please click on this link to learn more about SchooLinks which not only helps with scheduling but provides students with career exploration, the college application process (as they move into their senior year) and more. It is a wonderful resource!
Below are links to the course selection presentations and to our website. One of the pages on our website titled “Course Selection and Parent University” has course selection details, the high school course guide, and other information regarding scheduling and related information. Please reach out to your students counselor if you have additional questions.

District Boundary Community Meetings
The district communicated in an email on December 16, 2022, about possibly adjusting attendance boundaries and repurposing campuses. Since then, I hope you had some time to review this email. During the December 15, 2022, Board meeting, the district proposed several attendance boundary models to address the district's growth, facilities, and efficiency challenges. A few of these models involve our campus directly.
The district is hosting several community meetings next week to discuss these plans. The meeting schedule is below. Please consider attending to learn more and share your feedback. There will be an overview of each proposed plan; however, the plans listed below will be discussed in greater detail. The campuses impacted by these proposed plans are also listed below. Please attend the meetings that best meet your needs. If you cannot attend a community meeting, the presentation will be posted online for your review at https://www.pfisd.net/domain/1594. You can also provide direct feedback by emailing boundaryfeedback@pfisd.net or by completing this form. We’ll keep you updated as this work moves forward. The Hawk Newspaper Wins Big
