Late Summer Newsletter
Hello, again!
I hope this newsletter/menu finds you well. After a busy and satisfying summer "vacation," I'm strangely ready to get back to school, and back to baking again. Summers here in West Texas never seem to inspire a desire to turn the oven on and bake something new.
By now, some of us have completed our first, maybe even second, week of school. That means that the official summer season is on its way out, but my favorite season is on its way in! With busy schedules, you may find yourself in need of someone to bake for a special project or occasion. If you do, give me a call!
I have scheduled a Come and Go Open House on Thursday, September 11th, from 5-7 p.m. I'll be sampling some favorites from the tried and true recipe collection along with some new finds. Also, Nina Reid will be here to show you the latest from the Thirty-One Collection. Stop by and see what's new. You may be able to cross off a few Christmas gifts from your list.
Finally, I've included a how-to video for propagating existing basil. I always mourn the loss of the summer herbs! I've tried this myself, and my cuttings have grown roots. Next step, get them into pots for planting.
