Primary School News
Bee Happy, Bee Kind, and Bee a Friend
Welcome!
Firstly, I want to remind you that spring break is fast approaching and will be taking place from April 7th through April 14th. This is a great opportunity for families to spend some quality time together and recharge before the end of the school year.
Additionally, I wanted to inform you that progress reports will be going home on April 21st. These reports will provide you with valuable information on your child's academic progress and areas where they may need extra support. Please take the time to review these reports and discuss them with your child. If you should have any questions regarding your child progress please contact their teacher.
I also want to take this opportunity to emphasize the importance of your child being at school and on time every day. Regular attendance is essential to your child's academic success and ensures that they do not fall behind in their studies. By making attendance a priority, you are setting your child up for success both now and in the future.
We understand that there may be circumstances that prevent your child from attending school, but we ask that you please communicate with us as soon as possible if your child will be absent. This allows us to provide support and resources to help your child stay on track.
Thank you again for your partnership and for your continued support of your child's education. Together, we can help our students achieve their full potential.

TK/Kindergarten Roundup
Students who will turn 5 years of age between Sept. 2, 2023 and June 2, 2024, can enroll now in Valley Center-Pauma Unified School District’s TK program. Over the next four years, TK will expand to include all 4 year olds.
For clarity, Kindergarten enrollment is for children who turn 5 years of age before Sep. 1, 2023.
The TK program acts as a bridge between preschool and kindergarten and is held in a classroom style environment with credentialed teachers leading each class.
We will hold an informational night to provide more information about the classes and enrollment.
April 5 at Valley Center Primary School, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
To enroll your student now, visit vcpusd.org/enroll.
Calling all parents! Are you ready to be a part of your child's academic success?
What is School Site Council? Here is what parents have to say:
It's a fun and direct way to brainstorm, ask questions, make suggestions, and give opinions on school-related decisions.
In a small, casual meeting between parents and administration to discuss school-related items ranging from brainstorming activities for the kids to best meeting students' needs for math and literacy improvement.
Family Math Night, Family Reading Night, and Ms. Ruiz communicating updates via Class Dojo and text message? They all came from School Site Council conversations!
It's also a great way to stay informed about what is happening at the school and learn about our school's processes. We have so many incredible programs and resources to hear about!
Meetings are in-person and open to all, and a Zoom option is now available.
Our next meeting will be Thursday, May 4th, from 3:30-4:30.
