Building Hours
August 12-15 - 8:00-5:00 (closed Friday)
August 19-21 - 8:00-5:00
August 22-23 - 6:30-6:30
August 26-27 - 6:30-9:30
August 28 - 6:30-6:00 (to prepare for Open House the next evening)
August 29-30 - 6:30-9:30
During the school year, staff may enter the building as early as 6:30 with their badge. The office does not officially open until 7:30, so there may or may not be someone in the office to let you in. In the evenings, the latest staff can stay is 9:30. The custodians are required to have 30 minutes to sweep the building and lock up.
Trash/Moving Furniture
As you come in to set up your room, please keep the following in mind:
- Keep all trash in the classroom by the door. Please do not set it outside in the hallway.
- Mark/label any furniture you wish to dispose of and place by the door on the inside of your classroom.
- Room 25 has extra furniture if you want to go and "shop."
- Any furniture needs (removal, desk/table heights/repairs, requests) should be listed on the Custodial Assistance form on the board by the sign in sheets.
- All furniture moved in the classrooms should be picked up to move. Please do not drag the furniture across the room. The custodians will assist with moving furniture and would rather help than see their floors destroyed.
Books/Curriculum
All books have been scanned out and placed in grade level chairs' classrooms. Grade level chairs are responsible for distributing the books and curriculum materials to their grade level. For math, there may be additional materials for special education teachers in each inventory.
Curtains
All curtains must be sprayed with a fire retardant. Please list this on the Custodial Assistance form BEFORE hanging up your curtains.
Food
We have worked very hard this summer getting rid of critters. Please help us throughout the year by keeping any food in your classrooms in a sealed container.
