Washington Update
Family Communicator - May 25-29, 2020
Memorial Day
Reverse Parade
What is a reverse parade?
Families can drive-by the school slowly during this time. You can open the windows, bring signs of support for the Washington School and decorate your vehicles. The staff will be outside in the parking lot and on Wilder Street. We will have signs and be able to say hello, while everyone remains socially distant from each other. Families will have to remain in cars.
Parade Route - You will drive down Wilder Street take a right on Midland Street and then a right onto South Wilder Street. You will then drive slowly through our parking lot says hello to the Washington Staff! It should be great way for all of us to connect. If we have bad weather we will pick another day.
Grade 4 - Virtual Orientation to Butler School
We understand that closure is important as the grade 4 students move to the Butler School next year. The Washington School teachers and administrators have been working hard to make the transition as seamless as possible. Middle School class lists are being made and graduation plans are being finalized in an effort to bring closure to your time as a family at the Washington School. Please Save the Date for our Virtual Zoom Orientation with the Butler School. This will take place on Tuesday, June 9th at 6pm. The Orientation will allow students and families to meet the administrators and teachers, learn about school curriculum, and take a Virtual tour of the Butler School. A Zoom link will be sent closer to the meeting. Please make every effort in attending this Orientation.
