This is our monthly newsletter posted on the 1st of each month during the regular school year. You will find upcoming dates, events or information in regards to school-wide activities or polices/procedures. The newsletter is linked on our website, Instagram, Facebook & sent via Remind. We do our best to put all school information in the newsletter!

From Acequia Handbook:

Parents are encouraged to call the school and report the absence of their child. Excused absences are illnesses that are verified by a physician and reported to the school office by a doctor’s note.

After three absences, a letter of concern is sent home to parents who are asked to help improve

the attendance problem of their child. If absences continue after this, the absences will be referred

to attendance court and may be considered truant. We ask that parents not pick up their children

prior to the end of the school day.

The first bell rings at 7:40 a.m. Teachers begin instruction at 7:45 a.m. and it is important that all students are present for opening routines, likewise students are dismissed at 2:45 p.m. and need to be present up until school is over.

Continual tardies or early pick-ups violate district attendance policies (3 tardies = 1 absence). Please

avoid tardies and early-picks ups as it disrupts the learning process for all students.

2nd semester the allotment of days to miss is 8 days.

Please be mindful of our guidelines as we are watching attendance and tardies closely.

We try our very best to communicate with you through all different formats in hopes one works for you! If you aren't following along- please do! We can't wait to show you everything that goes on behind the school doors.

We post lots of pictures throughout the month to show you what is going on at school. If you would not like to have your child in a picture/video that could potentially be posted to our social media websites - please let the office know. If we don't hear from you, we will assume you agree.
