Back-to-School Fair
Lewisville ISD’s Back-to-School Fair is an annual event that provides more than 6,000 students in need with free backpacks, supplies and resources to start the school year. This year, the fair is set for Saturday, Aug. 5 at Lewisville High School (1098 W. Main Street, Lewisville). For every $25 raised, a student in need will get a backpack filled with supplies to start the new school year.

One Vision Task Force Progress Update
This spring, Lewisville ISD sought individuals interested in participating in the One Vision Task Force, a group of stakeholders who represent a diverse group of LISD constituents charged with developing a plan and potential bond package that can be recommended to the LISD Board of Trustees for consideration.
In the first three meetings, the One Vision Task Force has learned about school finance, technology usage, construction costs, safety and security measures and more. Visit LISD.net/OneVision to hear from the task force members, read meeting recaps and more.

LHS Harmon Tradition Continues With a Celebration of Latin American Heritage
For years, Lewisville High School’s Harmon campus has celebrated the many Hispanic and Latino cultures that are represented by the school’s students and staff. This year the event, “Mis Raíces: A Celebration of Who We Are & Where We Come From,” served not only as a celebration of heritage, but as a loving memorial to its creator José Dominguez. READ MORE

DeLay Makes Running Fun
Durham Student Featured in Art Show at Lewisville Grand Theater
"I don’t really like realism, I usually like to do things that are more cartoony," she said of her work. "But I’ve learned to take some of what we’ve learned about realism and use it to make art that’s more cartoony, more like anime.” Her art teacher, Rebecca Winters, praised her work and the art show. “It’s really important for students to get their work out there. They get to see the community appreciate their work and [the students] actually appreciate more when they see it up on display." READ MORE

Graduation Walk at Huffines MS

Central Elementary Was In For A Show!
Students at Central Elementary had a great time watching and meeting the cast from Madagascar- A Musical Adventure Jr. performed by The Actors Conservatory Theatre. SEE MORE
Creekside Receives Common Sense Recognition
Creekside was among several LISD schools who received a Common Sense Recognition in 2023. This signifies their commitment to providing safe and innovative spaces for students to thrive as they harness the potential of technology. READ MORE
Special Visitors at Lakeland ES
Lakeland Kindergarten students got a special surprise earlier this month, in the form of some four-legged animals! The Creature Keeper visited Lakeland and allowed students to pet several different species of animals. SEE PICTURES
Lewisville ES Dances With The Farmerettes
The April Reward Party at Lewisville ES was hosted by the LHS Farmerettes. They taught our ponies and future Farmers a dance routine, played pom pom games and brought the fun! SEE MORE
Mill Street's Shannon Coffman named 2023 Cain Sczepanski Award of Excellence Winner
The Lewisville ISD Education Foundation (LEF) presented four LISD educators with the 2023 Cain Sczepanski Award of Excellence. The award is given to nominated special education educators who demonstrate classroom excellence. SEE MORE

Rockbrook ES Recognizes Students for Making Good Choices
12 students at Rockbrook ES was recognized by Dr. Guy as part of the Positive Punch Card program. Many students throughout the school year had their names drawn and were able to celebrate the rewards of making good choices. We are so proud of our Bears!
Southridge ES receives $1,000 LEF Grant
The LEF Grant donated by Point Bank went towards spanish graphic novels and chapter books in the library. Students enjoyed the new books! SEE MORE
Ready. Set. LEGO!
Valley Ridge ES participated in the inaugural LISD Elementary STEM Academy Robotics Competition at Marcus High School’s Roboplex. Students built and coded the robots themselves for the competition. READ MORE
Game On at Vickery Elementary
Ms. Koenig’s 4th graders built their very own games from scratch. Inspired by the true story “Caine’s Arcade,” students built arcade games out of classroom materials. SEE PHOTOS
