What are Army Rangers?
Army Rangers are elite Soldiers that are specialized in reconnaissance for the U.S. Army. They were originally formed and first used in 1670 in King Philip's War. Before you join these elite soldiers you have to go through Ranger School. Ranger School is the toughest training an Army soldier can receive. It takes 59 days for a Ranger to complete all 3 phases. The first Ranger Department was born October 10,1951, and was widely used during WW1 and WW2.
Interesting Facts about Army Rangers
An Army Ranger needs to be careful on how he/she picks their weapon based on their mission. The main pistol for an Army Ranger is a M9 Beretta 9mm pistol. There motto is ''Rangers Lead The Way!'' Women can make it too. Two women are currently in the Army Rangers. A Ranger is also trained in teaching foreign countries how to defend themselves in case of attack. Rangers use several different navigation tools including: GPS, and old- fashion compasses!
