District leaders are seeking family input on school calendar development and communications. We value input from our families and have developed a short survey to gather feedback on a proposed calendar for the 2024-2025 school year. The survey contains a video which explains the proposed calendar model. In addition, there are some additional questions regarding school and communications. Please click here to take the survey now! The survey will close on December 17. Please complete the survey only one time. Thanks to those who have already participated!
The District Accountability Committee (DAC) and district administration have been studying a number of issues this fall including declining enrollment in Lochbuie schools, school capacity across the district, and transportation shortages. District data indicates that a significant number of students from the Lochbuie community are choosing to enroll at other schools, specifically at transition grades (2nd-3rd from Meadow Ridge Elementary to Lochbuie Elementary and 5th-6th from Lochbuie Elementary to Weld Central Middle School). The next step will be to seek broader community feedback. Any interested community member is invited to attend an informational meeting on December 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Meadow Ridge Elementary. At this meeting, district and school administrators will share data on enrollment, school capacity, transportation, and future schools. Participants will have an opportunity to share their views on strengths of the district, opinions on school configurations (grade centers), and input on potential solutions to meet community needs.

I would also like to thank our assembly leaders. These 1st and 2nd grade students were in charge of planning and running the assembly!
Little Explorers, Big Dreams
