FREE Transportation Options to COVID-19 Vaccinations in Johnson County

Transportation should not be a barrier for anyone in Johnson County with a vaccine appointment. Kelly Schneider, Johnson County Social Services Mobility Coordinator, explains free transportation options with Susan Vileta, Health Educator at Johnson County Public Health. Alexis Jiménez, Ph.D., University of Iowa Department of Spanish and Portuguese provides interpretation.

Preschool and Kindergarten Registration Closes Tomorrow

Deadline is March 26. The district will use this registration information for planning and staffing purposes.

Class of 2021 Graduation and Prom Plans Approved

The CCA School board approved graduation plans for the class of 2021. Graduation will be outside on May 28 and in the case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors similar to past years with modifications.

Grab and Go Meal Pick Up For Virtual Learners

This sign up is for the WEEK of March 29 (DUE BY SUNDAY March 28 @ 9PM).

REMINDER: If there is no school there is no meal distribution for that day. If there is a late start there is meal distribution as usual.

Is Your Child a Virtual Learner?

Whether your child is in a virtual learning model or temporarily learning online due to illness, quarantine, etc., families may sign up for the Grab and Go Meals and pick them up following the sign-up instructions on the survey link.

If your child is a virtual learner please sign up by March 28 at 9:00PM. SIGN UP LINK

Reminder: Please arrive with your mask on between 8:00 am and 8:15 am to pick-up meals at the building you specified on the sign-up. If you cannot make it, please contact Debbie Klein at

Community Help from the Iowa Finance Authority

The Iowa Rent and Utility Assistance Program may provide eligible, COVID-19 impacted renters with help with rent and utility bills.
