Location
Bergen-Belsen was located in south of two small towns Bergen and Belsen. About 11 miles North of Celle, Germany.
Uses
This camp was mainly used for housing construction workers, prisoners of war, exchange prisoners, and evacuues from other concentration camps.
Death Experiences
People who died of starvation, disease, and being shot were thrown into a mass grave and were burried.
Closing Time
British forces began to liberate the camp in April of 1945. They began to burn down the whole camp to prevent typhus.
