So I opened it- you cannot imagine how stealthily-until, at length a single dim ray, like the thread of the spider, shot out the crevice and fell upon the vulture eye. Personification
As this I did for secen long night-every night just at midnight-but I found the eye always closed; and so it was impossible to do the work; for it was not the old man who vexed me, but his Evil Eye. This is a personification because eyes are not evil, he just does not like the eye and wants it out of his sight and is over exaggerating to make it sound even worse. http://andycordan.blogspot.com/2011/02/tell-tale-heart.html
