EDUCATE YOURSELF – FAQ’s ABOUT WISCONSIN PARENTAL CHOICE PROGRAM
EDUCATE YOURSELF – FAQ’s ABOUT WISCONSIN PARENTAL CHOICE PROGRAM
At our 2nd Open Forum, WELS Principals from St. Matthew - Oconomowoc, St. Paul - Muskego, and St. Mark - DePere, were available to share their experience with the Wisconsin and Milwaukee Choice programs. We thank them for providing insight as to how the Choice programs have impacted their schools. Our attendees asked:
Who are the people, who do not already have a church home, seeking out a parochial school education?
Overall, the three schools found:
- They most often come from ”word of mouth” from existing school families.
- They are families looking for Christian values, Christian education, structure, and discipline.
- They are families who perceive that a private school education is a better option for their child than a public school education.
- They are families who never thought they could afford this kind of education.
- They are families, who once they are engaged with the school, usually become engaged in the congregation. Why? Because their congregations are active in reaching out to these families.
The issue of Parental Choice will be taken up at this Sunday’s Voters’ Meeting at 12:15 p.m. Keep the issue in your prayers!

TEACHER CHRISTMAS GIFTS
Dear Parents,
The Christmas season is quickly approaching and we once again are asking you to please help us thank our hardworking and dedicated Trinity school teachers, childcare staff, and pastors for all they do. We plan to provide them gift cards to their favorite stores/restaurants. We are asking you, our school families, to contribute whatever you can monetarily (cash, checks) in appreciation for the invaluable Christian education being provided to our children. If you are unable to provide a monetary contribution, please consider writing a brief note of thanks – any notes provided will be forwarded when we distribute the gift cards. Please drop off your contributions/notes to Kim or Jennie in the school office no later than Friday, December 15 (in an envelope with your child/children(s) name and the specific educator(s) you would like the gifts/notes to go to on the front of the envelope). If you have any questions, please reach out to either John or Liesl Ross (262-574-0402) who are coordinating this effort on behalf of the Parent Council. Yours in Christ,
John and Liesl Ross
