Dear Central Road Families:

The beautiful weather this week is hopefully here to stay! Our students did a great job learning while enjoying the extra sunshine. The addition of another gaga ball pit has been a huge win for our school. It is wonderful seeing our students engaging in physical activity and enjoying the fresh air. We engaged in several spring assessments this week and look forward to seeing the academic growth made this school year. We wrapped up our past week with High Five Friday. Having our fire and police department(s) greet us upon arrival was a fantastic experience. It is hard to believe we are heading into spring time and all things related to wrapping up yet another success one for us. Thank you for taking time to read our weekly communication. Central Road is hosting a Mini Monster's Camp Sponsored by the Chicago Bears for students in Grades 3-6. The event will be on Thursday, April 27th. We are looking for 12 volunteers to learn the drills and help run the stations. We ask that parents are here by 8:45am and check into the office with a photo ID. From 8:45-9:15am, parents will be working with the organization to know and understand what they will be responsible for when helping. From 9:20-12:15pm, parents will be running the stations. Our annual Open House will take place on Wednesday, May 3rd from 6:30-7:30 pm at Central Road School. We look forward to sharing and engaging our families with many of the educational opportunities students have had this school year. Our Chorus will perform at 6:00 pm that evening as well. We look forward to an enjoyable event this spring.

We are excited to host an informational evening for parents and guardians of students entering kindergarten at Central Road School for the 2023-2024 school year on Thursday, May 11th at 6:00 pm. All registered families are welcome to attend who will have a kindergarten student at CR next year. We look forward to meeting with our families. This is an adult only event. Thank You!
