Message From Central Road School
Mrs. Joanna Shostachuk, School Principal
A Note from Mrs. Shostachuk 04/16/2023
Dear Central Road Families:
The beautiful weather this week is hopefully here to stay! Our students did a great job learning while enjoying the extra sunshine. The addition of another gaga ball pit has been a huge win for our school. It is wonderful seeing our students engaging in physical activity and enjoying the fresh air. We engaged in several spring assessments this week and look forward to seeing the academic growth made this school year. We wrapped up our past week with High Five Friday. Having our fire and police department(s) greet us upon arrival was a fantastic experience. It is hard to believe we are heading into spring time and all things related to wrapping up yet another success one for us. Thank you for taking time to read our weekly communication. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out for support and/or clarification. We look forward to welcoming back students & staff on Monday, April 17th.

Note From Mrs. Kathy-Our Crossing Guard
We are rapidly approaching the end of another school year so here are a few things to work on before we’re done. Please note there is to be no more pickup or drop off at the west curb by the driveway exit. This is a NO PARKING area anyway (note the yellow curb and NO PARKING sign). In most cases, there are legal spaces west of there. Also, when one car stops to either pickup or drop off, other vehicles want to do the same thing and we end up with a line of cars and a blocked driveway. Another issue is stopping in the crosswalk. I have seen it mostly with vehicles going eastbound. Now, I would like to acknowledge some good things that several people are now doing. I have especially observed this on the north side of the street, west of the school driveway exit. Drivers are pulling over to park and are signaling their intentions. When there is another vehicle approaching behind, they are slowing down because they see the signal. Something so small has been so helpful. THANK YOU to those doing this! Enjoy the nice weather.
