Celebrations
A Big Shout out to our teachers that are working hard to learn about all our new systems and implementing them with ease.
We want to thank our wonderful custodial staff for ensuring that our building and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized daily!
A round of applause for our dismissal team! We are slowly working out the kinks in the plan and are procedures have gotten more efficient.
A Letter from Principal Montalvo
Dear Caldwell Heights Families,
We have been improving our dismissal procedures everyday. Thank you for the grace and patience while we work through the safest and most efficient way to dismiss our students. You all have been awesome! In order for us to continue to improve we ask that you remain in your car while you are in the car rider line. It is important that you are able to move your vehicle forward when the line begins to move. Also, please remember that RRISD policy asks that all students, teachers, staff, and adult visitors, should wear a face covering (no valves/vented masks) on buses or other school transportation vehicles, inside school buildings, and anywhere on school grounds including outside. There are a few updates to mask protocols that I have listed below for you to read over. We certainly appreciate you supporting us with reinforcing these expectations.
If your student is struggling to get their required asynchronous assignments completed, here is a checklist to help support your child. Remember, these assignments are required to be completed for grades.
I would like to put in a pitch for our PTA. We are eagerly looking for parents that would like to be a part of our PTA board. We have several teachers that have volunteered but would love for parents to work with us! Please email cheptaeagles@gmail.com . if you are interested in partnering with us.
Here is the direct contact information for staff who can reach out to you immediately for support with curriculum, student learning needs, mental health care, behavior supports, counseling resources, daily schedule and routines assistance or anything else you need.

Meeting Rules: Please review the following Meeting Rules from the Texas PTA that will apply to the meeting:
The chair gives the chance to speak to every member who wishes it. Pro and con speakers should be given alternating opportunities to speak, if possible, and all speakers should tactfully be kept to rules of order and to the question.
Each member has two opportunities to speak to the motion. A member may exercise his or her first opportunity to speak and, then, after every other member has the chance to speak, may speak only once more.
All statements must be addressed to the chair and not to another member.
The chair recognizes a member who has not previously spoken to the motion in preference to one who has spoken.
The chair does not enter into discussion. Should the President wish to debate, the chair must ask the Vice President to preside. He or she does not resume the chair until after the final disposition of the question under discussion. The President may vote when the vote would change the outcome (to make or break a tie) or when the voting is by ballot.
Debate continues until no one wishes to speak or until someone moves to close debate.
Members cannot close debate by shouting, “Question.” A member must seek recognition and make the motion properly and requires a 2/3 vote to pass. (“I move the previous question.”)
