Dear Seniors,
Graduation is just a few months away!
If you are planning on joining the military please provide your counselor with enlistment paperwork so we can include you in an awards ceremony as well as provide you military cords for graduation.
Acceptance letters and award packages are starting to arrive. Please provide your counselor with university scholarship awards so you are recognized in our graduation program.
For many universities early action and priority deadlines have passed. Regular decision as well as universities with rolling admission are still accepting applications. It is important to know university deadlines so you do not miss opportunities. If you need help with applications or the college process please see your counselor we are here to help.
It is important to read emails and listen to announcements as communication surrounding college lunch and learn visits, scholarship opportunities, graduation information, and much more come in the form of email.
Below is a current list of available scholarships. Please pay close attention to deadlines as many are fast approaching. Please provide time for your teachers and counselors to write letter of recommendations as well as time to process paperwork and transcripts. Do not wait until the deadline date to turn in your scholarship application.
Local Scholarships
Middletown Community Foundation:
- Are online and live as ofJanuary 1st, 2019
- You can begin filling out your scholarship now. You will also need a 7 semester transcript which is uploaded by your counselor.

WACE Co-op Scholarship
Have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale
Apply for admission for the 2019-2020 academic year at institution(s) you select on the scholarship application
Meet other merit scholarship criteria as established by the institution(s) selected on the application
Deadline February 15, 2019
AAA School Safety Patrol Scholarship:
- Once served as a member of the AAA safety patrol

Nuxhall Miracle League Scholarship:
- Students who are enrolling at a regionally accredited institution of higher education (public or private, 2-year of 4-year) for an undergraduate degree in the Fall 2019 semester.
- Applicants must be participants or volunteers with the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League in Fairfield, Ohio.
- Students will be eligible to receive a one-time scholarship ranging from $250-$1,000.
- Preference will be given to students planning to major in special education or a related field.
- Deadline is February 18th, 2019

Ohio Alpha Delta Kappa Scholarship Fund:
- GPA 3.0
- Letters of Recommendation (one from an Alpha Delta Kappa Member)

Caring.com:
- The student-caregiver scholarship provides financial assistance to students who are caring for an adult relative while enrolled in college.

William D. Squires Education Foundation Inc:
- Applicants must be seniors, residing in Ohio, graduating from an Ohio high school in 2019.
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need. The EFC on your FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR) must be less than $7,000 to apply. In addition, your college Financial Aid Award letter must show a minimum $4,000 need.
- Applicants must have a specific career goal and be highly motivated to reach their career goal.
- Although this is not an academically based scholarship, applicants must demonstrate academic promise and good character. A minimum 3.20 cumulative GPA is required.
