Recently there has been a significant amount of conversation on "Parents Connect" regarding parking lot protocol and safety. Administration has also had several meetings with parents over the last few weeks concerning specific instances that have occurred that have been deemed as dangerous and/or unsettling. Last week we included our parking lot rules in the newsletter and we are adding a section to our website under "Current Families" that addresses drop off and pick-up rules and etiquette. We are asking that our Husky families take great care when navigating through the parking lot and pick-up and dismissal lanes so that all our Huskies (parents, staff, and students) are always safe. Power of the Pack!

Did You Know...

  1. We have 54 middle school students that are eligible to apply for National Junior Honor Society?
  2. Students are eligible for NJHS if they have only A's and B's and 1's and 2's in citizenship?
  3. At Holly Academy 6th grade students can apply after first semester, as well as 7th and 8th grade students?
  4. Some of our local middle schools do not accept students into NJHS until 8th grade?

From the Board of Directors

We have an open trustee seat on our Board of Directors. The Board is looking for a community member (non-parent). If you know of anyone who would like to "give back" to education, being a Board member is the perfect fit. Our HA Board of Directors is the governing body for our school. The Board meets once per month (always on a Wednesday). Meetings begin at 5:30pm and generally last two hours. Plow Truck

If you see the plow truck in the parking lot, please stay clear. It is difficult for Mr. Melero to see out the back window. We want him to be able to get the parking lot cleared and keep everyone safe. We appreciate your cooperation.

Through HAEF, you can leave a lasting imprint for your child on Academy grounds. A personalized paver is a permanent way to document your child’s years at Holly Academy. Pavers ordered this school year are installed over the summer. Students returning to HA next fall will enjoy finding their pavers and seeing it as they grow throughout their years at the Academy.
