2019 WSD Foundation Mini Grants
Apply for a grant for your classroom or building today!
Mini Grant Applications are due March 15, 2019
Dear WSD Certified Staff:
Just a friendly reminder that Friday is the deadline to submit an application for the 2019 Mini-Grant Award Program.
In its 16th year, this program invites teachers to apply for competitive grant monies generated by the WSD Foundation's fundraising efforts. The WSD Foundation offers both a $500 Teacher Mini-Grant and a $1,000 Building Mini-Grant opportunity for District schools. Please remember, the building grant application should be for something that benefits the ENTIRE building.
2019 $500 Mini Grant Application
2019 $1,000 Building Grant Application
Last year, the Foundation awarded 17 teacher and building grants totaling $10,500! In addition, they also awarded $1,500 from a grant the Foundation received from General Motors for STEM initiatives.
These grants are intended to reward educators for their resourceful and innovative ideas and strategies that benefit our students. Teachers wishing to implement a new program in their classroom are encouraged to apply for the grants, and previous winners are allowed and encouraged to apply as well. Grant proposals should be submitted to the WSD Community Relations Department no later than March 15, 2019. Programs that will be given priority must have the following:
• Clearly defined, feasible purpose, goals and objectives
• Clearly defined evaluation process
• Well planned activities related to objectives
• Use of readily available materials
• Measurable objectives and learner outcomes
• Creative, innovative and practical ideas
A selection committee comprised of WSD Foundation Directors will choose the winners based on the established criteria. Both the teacher application and the building application will prompt you to make a copy, and all applications do require the signature of the building principal. You can submit by scanning and emailing the application back to us.
We hope you will consider taking advantage of this opportunity!
Sincerely,
