4th Grade Service Project. Planting Tulips in front of West Side.
Hello Parents,
Hello West Side Families,
The staff and I want to wish you happiness and health during this Christmas season. We are so privileged to work with such wonderful students and their amazing families. We truly appreciate everything that you do for your child and our school. We know this winter will be different in the classroom as we maintain social distance and ensure our staff and student safety. However, our teachers are working hard to prepare exceptional and engaging lessons. We will celebrate in different ways this year, but let's remember just being able to be with our friends, teachers, and family is most important.
Thank you and we wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
If you need to contact us we have contact information at the bottom of this newsletter. Don't hesitate to reach out, we have a bilingual staff that are always willing to take your call. Enjoy November Everyone!!
- Did you see West Side on WNDU this week? We received a $1,000 check from Martin's for additional recess equipment. A big THANK YOU to Ms. Morey! She submitted the application for the grant money.
- The end of the grading period is Friday Dec. 18th. Report Cards will go home the week of January 11, 2021.
- Very important that children have a mask at school. Whether a car rider, or bus rider, children will need a mask when departing and entering the school.
- The weather has certainly changed so be sure children are dressed appropriately each day. We go outside for recess if it 15 degrees or above!
- Picture Day will be rescheduled for late January or February 2021. Stay tuned for details.
- Due to the COVID 19 pandemic we will not have our annual 2nd and 4th Holiday Programs. We are hoping to have a spring concert instead.
- Christmas Recess ~ No School December 21 through Jan 3, 2021.
- During this time of COVID19, if you need to contact Nurse Kelsey with questions feel free to call the school at 293-2531.

Attendance is key to your child's academic success!
We have to work TOGETHER to make this work for your children. If you are having a difficult time please reach out to your child's teacher or myself and we can help you find some answers.

SAFETY ZONE
Masks should be worn at all times except when eating or outside if social distancing is achieved. This means that masks should be worn during PE and recess unless students are outside and socially distant. Seating charts should ensure that no two students are within six feet of each other or any other person. This means that the front row of desks should be at least six feet away from where the teacher is presenting information.
