What are hate crimes and why do they happen?
Hate crimes are when people are harmed or killed for who they are, not for anything they have done. This means that if a criminal believes that they do not like Buddhists, they believe that because they do not like them, they have the right to try and kill them.
Who is affected by Hate crimes?
People affected by hate crimes are usually people who belong to different groups. For example, if someone is Christian, they belong in a group of Christians.
When did hate crimes begin?
Most hate crimes began after World War II. This is because the war rose an atmosphere of anger & hatred.
