Sacred Heart Weekly Update
September 20, 2021
Safety protocol update
This is the protocol we will follow:
1. Positive case reported to the school: Positive person will quarantine for 10 days. A letter will be emailed to the class to notify them. Classroom parents are asked to watch for symptoms and the positive case will be reported to MDH and the Archdiocese. We will sanitize the entire classroom.
2. The entire class might be asked to quarantine if it begins to appear that there has been an outbreak in the class. This will be based on a percentage of the class out, our ability to trace the exposure, and other factors. The decision will be made in collaboration with the leadership team and school nurse.
3. Students who have a family member test positive for COVID must stay home for 10 days to protect the rest of their classmates unless they are fully vaccinated or have had a positive COVID test in the preceding 90 days. This is because it is in their home and therefore much more likely to be transferred to them.
4. This year, only students who have tested positive for COVID-19 and are therefore required to quarantine will be allowed to learn virtually. This will also include siblings that have to quarantine due to positive test results.
Note: Specialists will provide homework only. No virtual learning for specialists.

What does the future hold for the Archdiocese?
It depends on you! Archbishop Hebda needs your feedback on priorities we should focus on as our Archdiocese moves forward.
How can you share your feedback? Through Synod small groups, hosted right here at Sacred Heart, and at parishes throughout the Archdiocese. For six weeks, you will gather in a small group with other parishioners to pray, learn, and discuss.
What to Expect when you participate in Synod small groups this Fall:
We hope you join in this important step in shaping the future of our Archdiocese. Here’s how it will go.
-Arrive at your parish and find a seat at a table of about 8.
-Watch a video which will lead everyone in prayer and share teaching on our beautiful Catholic faith to inform our discussion and response.
-As you are comfortable, share your experience and ideas in discussion with your tablemates.
-Respond to ideas and offer your own suggestions on a feedback form to be considered by Archbishop Hebda.
The Synod small groups will meet every week from September 20th-November 6th EXCEPT for the week of October 18th-23rd because it is fall break. Please choose the day/time that works best for you.
Monday evenings 6:30-8:30pm
Tuesday afternoons 1:00-3:00pm
Thursday evenings 6:30-8:30pm
Saturday mornings 9:00-11:00am
Archbishop Hebda wants to hear from you. Please participate. Even if you are unable to commit to all 6 weeks, come for what you can. Join us in the Marian Rooms this week!
