The Sudie News
October 15 - 19, 2018
Principal’s Prose
I hope that you all enjoyed your Fair Day, as the three day weekend after parent conference night was awesowe. In my opinion, the scheduling of consecutive four day instructional weeks are right on time, as they provide the needed opportunity to catch our breath and jump right backin the race. With the many demands, challenged and high expectations required to master this leg of the journey, I believe a respite to recharge and refocus is needed, and certainly well deserved.
Though the infamous "Rock-tober" is half way over, the strength, skill, tenacity and teamwork required to successfully support Sudie students must remain intact and on full display. Lions, the time to take our game to the next level is now. With the firm understanding you have of your students and their needs, well designed plans and actions will be the key determining factor regarding their success and ours too. In continually tracking student progress, I am reminded of one of my administrative mentors always saying, "You must INSPECT what you EXPECT!" This must be our approach leaning forward. It's up to us to set the standard for growth, monitor the progress earned and celebrate or support students in need of both. As ONE, we not only have the power to do all of the above, WE can do it exceedingly well!
In closing, and in short, the place is here and the time is now! Let's dedicate ourselves to making this week a great one, and these last few weeks of "Rock-tober" awesome!
We Are ONE,
MJ
