Attendance Reminder

If students are absent for 2 days, we need teachers to make a call to the family to check on the child. This is to help with the connection with school and letting the family know we miss their child, are looking forward to them returning soon.

Dawn's Words of Wisdon

Strategies for Student Support

The first article below provides strategies to use to get students to work, even when they don't want to. We all have a student who avoids work, so here are some things to try!

The second article is about using logical consequences in response to student behavior choices. A great resource with ideas to help students see the connection between behaviors and impact/consequences.

Kelly's Coaching Corner

Kagan is evident in our building. I see and hear teachers using structures. Here are a few images to consider when giving students structured opportunities to talk about their learning. Do you have expectations for how students will sit during your lesson and when they talk to peers? Have you given students the academic language to discuss text at a higher level? Are you remembering to make it fun by adding Gambits and Cheers?
