About the Author
Laurie Halse Anderson was born on October 23, 1961. She is an American writer best known for children's and young-adult novels. The well-known books she wrote are Speak, Catalyst, Fever, Prom, and Twisted. She married her first husband and had two children. The couple later divorced. Years later, Anderson got married to and is still married to Scott Larabee. Together, they blended their families of Anderson’s two daughters and Larrabee’s two children, Jessica and Christian. These events are reflected on her books.
