COLLEGE COUNSELING CORNER
By LHS College Counselor Nicole Rothman
Welcome to the College Counseling Corner! Ms. Rothman will be using this space in upcoming Spotlight newsletters to share information and tips for the College Application process.
Be sure to follow Ms. Rothman on Twitter (@LivHS_College) and Instagram (@livhs_college). The LHS College Counseling Website is another important place to find information, see updates, and contact Ms. Rothman.
LHS TEACHER PENS CHILDREN'S BOOK
"I wrote this book because I thought many of my students could identify with the same situations I encountered coming to the US from a foreign country," Ms. Vosa explained. "I wanted to let children know that just because they may be different, they are still beautiful and important. If children identify with my own story, they could perhaps feel as if they were not alone in their struggles."
The FCC recently approved a new 3-digit dialing code, 988, for mental health crisis and suicide prevention. The 988 line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for calls, texts, and chat. Visit the NJ Department of Human Services website to learn more about the new nationwide 3-digit dialing code for crisis and suicide prevention.
