1. Families United for Support and Encouragement (FUSE) will be holding a resource fair to connect families with programs and services for adults and children with disabilities or mental health needs. Saturday, March 7, 9:00am-1:00pm, at JB Stephens Elementary School, 1331 N. Blue Road, Greenfield. Free Admission, Free Childcare Pre-register for both at www.fuseinc.org
2. RECYCLE! Weston Elementary will be collecting ‘plastic bottle’ caps for the next two weeks! Why . . . . to teach our students about the benefits of recycling. In return we can get a recycled park bench for the school grounds. The Purdue Extension office of Hancock Co. is assisting us with delivery and pick up :) See the download section below for more details.
3. Our Spring Break for GCCSC will be from March 16th - 27th. The building will be closed and this includes our school offices.
4. Our visitor sign in systems at all GCCSC buildings have been updated. With this new update ALL visitors will need to bring their ID in when visiting Weston . . . . even if you had it scanned in previously this school year. Thanks for understanding.
5. March is Disability Awareness month and the Greenfield Central Schools will be participating in the Special Olympics Unified Schools Program. We have a fundraiser planned to support this effort. 6. We only had 120 students with Perfect Attendance for February. This was our lowest percentage of this school year. Proper handwashing is an important step to keeping our kids healthy and able to come to school. Review this video with your children and practice this important skill.
7. The Indiana Reading Evaluation and Determination (IREAD-3) assessment will take place the week of March 30 - April 3 for all GCCSC Grade 3 students. This assessment measures foundational reading standards to Grade 3 students each spring. Want to learn more about this assessment? Go to https://www.doe.in.gov/assessment/iread-3-families

9. Kindergarten Round Up at Weston will be on April 7th. Below you can find more information. To enroll for Kindergarten children must turn 5 on or before August 1, 2020. Information about Early Entrance to Kindergarten can be found at https://www.gcsc.k12.in.us/.
