A Tribute to My Hero

My hero: Krystyna Kwolska
From Poland to America was a poster I made in 2nd grade. It was all about my Hero Krystyna. About 20 years ago she won the green card lottery in Poland. She got a green card to move to the United States and she left a job she loved as well. She had to adjust to a new culture and a new language. She is heroic because she perseveres and does what she can to help others.
This is Rosa Parks My Untouchable Hero.
This is the Polish Flag. My babysitter moved here from poland.
This is Easter Babka.
This is the history of babka
Why I Chose to Make Babka
There are many reasons why I chose to make Babka. One is that it relates to my personal hero. It connects because my babysitter was born in Poland and this is where Babka originated. In our interview, she stated that she missed the holidays, culture and the food. By making this dish I am incorporating all of these things. The other reason I chose to do was because I love baking. It is one of my favorite things to do. I am glad I chose this project because it brought back memories to my babysitter and I got to do what I love.
